YarnCon 2026 Recap

YarnCon 2026 Recap

I say it every year, and this year is definitely no different: Best. YarnCon. Ever!!

It takes a lot of work to put on a show like YarnCon, and the reason it comes together so well is thanks to our supportive and enthusiastic community of vendors, volunteers, and the fiber community that comes out to shop and gather together around our shared interests in yarn and making things by hand. It's a pleasure and an honor to get to do this every year.

We also want to thank our local public radio station, WBEZ, and newspaper, The Sun-Times for a really thoughtful interview and beautiful article and photos. Thank you Erica and Pat!

So, instead of telling you how amazing this year's YarnCon was, I will leave you to read the article, and I suggest that you check out all of the great images and stories people are sharing to Instagram with the tags #yarncon and #yarncon2026. You can also see my personal Flickr album for this year. (If you are a Flickr user, please add the tags "yarncon" and/or "yarncon2026" to your photos. We would love to see them!)

It's hard to believe, but next year is YarnCon's 20th anniversary! Stay tuned for big plans! You can sign up for our mailing list at yarncon.com on the homepage.

Thanks for a great YarnCon 2026!
